We will create an affordable, high-quality, mixed-income environment that promotes diversity by: 

  • Redeveloping Ardenwood Village, an EBRPHA Housing Community

  • Developing Cypress at Ardendale, a four phase new construction multi-family and senior community

  • Advancing Operation Restore Pride to beautify neighborhoods and repair blighted properties

  • Including design principles for all developments to address place-making gateways and streetscape improvements

We will create a high-quality diverse housing inventory by:

  • Implementing a housing rehabilitation program

We will decrease vacancy rates by:

  • Partnering with the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation (BCJI) program and the Blight Abatement Law Clinic

  • Implementing a housing demolition initiative

  • Implementing a vacant and abandoned property registration program

  • Establishing an infill development program


mixed-use district

We will create a vibrant mixed-use district that will increase the desirability of our community by:

  • Developing diverse housing options using neighbor-informed design principles

  • Attracting businesses and investors

  • Building and establishing Ardendale, a mixed-use development in our community


homeownership

We will increase the rates of homeownership among public housing residents by:

  • Establishing a homeowner's assistance center for our community


Section 3

We will create a framework to ensure Section 3 resident and business participation in the design and construction process by:

  • Recruiting Section 3 residents and businesses to participate in job training, contract and employment opportunities
